3 The Chief Executive joins officials in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing to commemorate the 60th anniversary of China's victory in the war of resistance against Japanese aggression and the world war against fascism.
5 The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Rafael Hui, leads a group of senior officials to meet the Mayor of Shenzhen, Mr Xu Zongheng, and his delegation. Both sides review the progress of work since the signing of a memorandum on enhancing cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and eight other cooperation agreements in June 2004.

13 The Executive Council approves the draft agreement for Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation to build an $8.3 billion Kowloon Southern Link connecting northwest New Territories and urban Kowloon. The rail line is scheduled to open in 2009.
18 The Chief Executive joins Hong Kong athletes and sports officials for a torch relay ahead of the 10th National Games in Nanjing.
25 The Chief Executive and members of the Legislative Council depart on a two-day official visit to the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region.
28 The Chief Executive and the Governor of Guangdong Province, Mr Huang Huahua, co-chair the Eighth Plenary of the Hong Kong/Guangdong Cooperation Joint Conference in Hong Kong.

The Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr Frederick Ma, leads a high-level Hong Kong financial services delegation to Fujian for a three-day visit to enhance mutual understanding and promote financial services cooperation.
30 Hong Kong and Macao authorities and Mainland officials from nine southern provinces agree on a plan to promote cooperation in innovation and technology in the Pan-PRD.
