Hong Kong's creative industries are thriving, buoyed by Government initiatives to boost them further. The creative sector employs some 176 000 people in different areas such as the TV and film, design and advertising, architecture, comics and animation, and digital entertainment fields. One of the major events of 2009 was the Inno Design Tech Expo  in which 345 exhibitors participated, with a highlight showcasing over 50 internationally awarded projects by Hong Kong design and technology professionals.
