Thousands of people welcome "2008 - The Olympic Year" at the New Year's Eve countdown in Times Square, Causeway Bay. Throughout the year Hong Kong continued to prepare for its Olympic role as co-host city for the Beijing 2008 Olympic and Paralympic equestrian events.
