Over 500 species of birds have been recorded in Hong Kong, some resident and others migrant. Many species can be readily seen in the urban areas, like this pair of Spotted Doves.
Every winter, some 60,000 migratory waterbirds visit the wetland habitats of Mai Po and Inner Deep Bay, designated a 'Wetland of International Importance' under the Ramsar Convention.
