Notes: |
Figures refer to the third quarter of the year.
Figures in brackets refer to percentage changes over the same period
of the preceding year.
(1) |
Including business receipts from the Airport
Authority as from the third quarter of 1998. |
(2) |
Not including investment and holding companies. |
(3) |
Not including real estate development. |
(4) |
A service domain differs from a service industry
in that a domain comprises those economic activities straddling
different industries but are somehow related to a common purpose.
Tourism is a good example. It includes all activities of hotels
and travel agents; and some (those involving visitors as customers)
but not all of the activities of restaurants, retailers and
transport operators. |
(5) |
Part of the data is obtained from the Hong
Kong Tourism Board and figures have been revised to incorporate
the new data on destination consumption expenditure of incoming
visitors and travellers released by the Hong Kong Tourism
Board in November 2003. For details, please refer to the feature
article 'Statistics on Inbound Tourism' in the December 2003
issue of the Hong Kong Monthly Digest of Statistics. |
