The Secretary for Home Affairs, Dr Patrick Ho, announces proposed arrangements for future elections of village representatives that will be consistent with the Hong Kong Bill of Rights Ordinance and the Sex Discrimination Ordinance while the lawful traditional rights and interests of indigenous villagers will be protected.
