The Airport Core Programme

A replica of the wood and fabric aircraft Wanda, the first plane to fly in Hong Kong, takes off from Chek Lap Kok for a 10-minute flight on November 15. Wanda, a French-made Farman biplane, made its historic flight over Sha Tin tidal flats on March 18, 1911. The 1997 version was built and flown by Texan Roger Freeman before being installed in the new aiport passenger terminal.
