Home Starter Loan Scheme

The government announced in October that a new scheme would be
launched to help low and middle income families purchase their own
homes. Eligible applicants of the Home Starter Loan Scheme would
receive low interest loans of up to $600,000 or 30 per cent of the
property value, whichever is lower. In each of the next five years, 6 000
loans would be made available.
